A one-day state mourning is being observed across India on Sunday as a mark of respect to the UK's Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on Thursday. National flags at Red Fort and Rashtrapati Bhavan were flown at half-mast following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II.

"National flags at Red Fort and Rashtrapati Bhavan fly at half-mast as one-day state mourning is being observed in the country following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II," ANI news agency reported.

Meanwhile, the national flag was also flown at half-mast at Victoria Memorial, Calcutta High Court and Raj Bhawan.

"National flag at half-mast as India pays tribute to Britain's late Queen Elizabeth II Visuals from Victoria Memorial, Calcutta High Court and Raj Bhawan," ANI reported.

“Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, passed away on September 8, 2022. As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, the government of India has decided that there will be one-day state mourning on September 11 throughout India,” an official statement said.

Meanwhile, the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will take place on Monday, September 19, at Westminster Abbey in London.
