HAMPTON - Hampton-area businesses are jumping on the Super Bowl mania this weekend as the Patriots prepare to play the Seahawks in the big game Sunday.

Hair Cuttery, a hair salon chain that has a location on Lafayette Road in Seabrook, is offering to spray people’s heads with Patriot-red hair spray for free while supplies last on Saturday and Sunday. Hair Cuttery is doing this at all New England locations.

Fans can get sprayed “right up until game time,” said Regina Norfolk, communications representative of Hair Cuttery. “Whether you want your whole head spray painted red or just a few streaks.”

“The New England Patriots have die-hard fans,” said Dennis Ratner, founder and CEO of Hair Cuttery. “We thought this would be a fun way to help Patriots fans throughout New England get ready for the big game.”

Norfolk said the chain also did free red hair spraying to support the Red Sox when they made it to the World Series in 2013. She said they figured they’d do the same for the Patriots.

“Hopefully it’s going to be enough to win it,” Norfolk said. “There’s going to be a lot of people walking around with red hair.”

Chop Shop on Route 1 is also getting into the action with a pre-Super Bowl party on Saturday. The music act for the night will be the Bon Jovi tribute band Living on a Bad Name.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is a known fan and friend of Jon Bon Jovi.

Living on a Bad Name was the headline act for the 2014 Hampton Beach Seafood Festival. The music starts at 9 p.m.

The band’s guitarist, Ethan Brosh, is a renowned player who has been featured in Guitar World magazine numerous times, according to Brosh’s website. His other band, Burning Heat, will be the opening act.

The Galley Hatch will be closed at 5:30 p.m., owner John Tinios said, so that employees can go home and watch the Super Bowl, but there’s still going to be plenty of restaurants holding events and deals for the big game.

The Old Salt is holding its annual Super Bowl tailgate from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on its patio. The patio will decked out with a television and heating and feature giveaways, deals on beer, burgers, hot dogs and sausages.

Kathi Taylor, who works at the Old Salt, said 40 people turned out last year despite rainy weather. Typically, she said, it draws 60 to 70. She said she hopes that with the Patriots being in the Super Bowl, it will make even more people come out.

Logan’s Run on Route 1 will be offering a free buffet during halftime, as well as putting up a large projector screen in the front dining room for game viewing.

Joanne Flagg, who works at Logan’s Run, said they don’t typically do the projector in the dining room but felt it was appropriate this year since the Patriots were in the game.
